Updated Malaria Indicators and Data Framework

Between 2000-2015, comprehensive efforts to combat malaria resulted in declines in both incidences and mortality worldwide. From increased funding to decreased costs for essential interventions, such as long-lasting insecticidal nets and lower-priced drugs, global cases and mortality rates fell by 37% and 60%, respectively, saving an estimated 6.2 million lives in sub-Saharan Africa alone.
