M4M celebrates a decade of success, and ushers in a new era with Nirali Chakraborty as CEO

May 2024

Press release: Washington, DC, May 17, 2024

Metrics for Management (M4M), a leader in evidence-based and standardized performance measures for global health, is proud to announce its 10th anniversary and the appointment of Dr. Nirali Chakraborty as its new Chief Executive Officer. Nirali, who has been with M4M for much of the past decade and has led the organization’s research and strategy efforts, will succeed the founder, Dr. Dominic Montagu, who is stepping down after 10 years of dedicated service.

Over the past decade, M4M has been at the forefront of data-driven insights for global health. The organization has developed and promoted the adoption of ground-breaking measurement indicators and tools for use in the management and delivery of health services around the world.

“I am privileged to have spent the past 10 years working with partners committed to improving global health services and making an impact through actionable data,” said Dominic. “Thank you to all our partners for their support and collaboration. I am confident that under Nirali’s leadership, M4M will continue to thrive and drive positive, client-focused change in global health services.”

Under Dominic’s leadership, M4M has launched several major global measurement tools, including the EquityTool, the Asset to Income Estimator, the Person-Centered Maternity Care survey, and the Abortion Care Quality Tool. M4M has had the privilege of conducting rigorous research and metric development to support decision making for organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Global Fund, MSI Ghana, Population Services International, ChildFund International, The Rotary Foundation and several funding organizations, as well as wider research across the globe to provide critical insight into health service quality, impact and equity.

“I am honored and humbled to lead a great team at M4M, at this milestone moment where together we can continue to build on Dominic’s legacy,” said Nirali. “For 10 years, M4M has been putting the right data to good use because we know that global health services need rigorous, evidence-based, standardized, and goal-driven metrics. And that those metrics need to be easy to use. We look forward to further growing our partnerships and strengthening health service delivery across low- and middle-income countries.”

As M4M enters its next chapter, the organization plans to expand partnerships and further build its reputation as a trusted measurement partner under Nirali’s leadership. Dominic will remain a member of the M4M board, continuing to lend his support and guidance.
